Combining Clean Water and Energy Systems

Researchers at MIT and the University of Hawai have been analyzing a system which combines a hydropower system with a desalination process for creating clean water.
By combining the 2, the system would reduce the costs associated with energy and water production, and create job opportunities.

It is thought that the system could be used to provide clean water and energy for millions of people living in densely populated coastal regions.
