A novel engineering approach to cleaning our oceans of plastic debris

Young Boyan Slat of The Ocean Cleanup discusses the progress of his "Marine Litter Extraction" concept during a 2014 talk in NYC, providing us with a look at the nature of genuine grassroots climate action in a culture of corporate polluter apathy. Please take special note of his brief account of the attempts to solicit the participation of corporations in the cleanup project.
