Workshop explores national security repercussions of climate change

Experts assess potential global destabilization caused by climate change impacts on water supplies, land use, and migration

The Joint Program projects significant water stress in Asia by mid-century, but a combination of climate mitigation and adaptation measures, such as lowering greenhouse gas emissions and irrigating more efficiently, could reduce the severity of the problem, said Joint Program Deputy Director C.
