Study evaluates China’s progress in establishing accounting measures to reinforce its Paris pledge

Firms learn from experience in the measurement, reporting and verification of CO2 emissions under China’s emissions trading systems

Building reliable firm-based systems for emissions measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) is no easy task, especially in developing countries where misreporting of environmental data can be significant. An MIT-led study in Nature Climate Change focused on China identifies challenges and opportunities to achieve that goal. Read the full article here.
