Students, apply now for AGU Voices for Science Program

Science communication enthusiasts, take note: the American Geophysical Union (AGU) is accepting applications for their Voices for Science program. Voices for Science "helps communicate the value and impact of Earth and space science to policy makers... and other public audiences".

There are two tracks for this program: the policy track (for students who prefer to engage primarily with policy makers) and the media/public communications track (for students who prefer to engage primarily with the media and public audiences).

Students who are accepted into either track for the 2019 class would be flown to Washington DC for a two-day workshop and create a plan of communication and policy actions to follow throughout the year (at least one action or event each month). Accepted students will also have their "actions and successes widely promoted by fellow advocates and AGU", and they can "receive program-specific grants to help them with their outreach/policy efforts".

The application deadline is February 1st, and selected applicants will be notified by February 22nd. Apply here: https://sharingscience.agu.org/voices-for-science/?utm_source=agunivers…
