One man's two-decade quest to suck greenhouse gas out of the sky

Greenhouse gas emissions are wreaking havoc on the global climate. In an attempt to combat this issue, scientists have begun to consider ways in which these gasses can be removed from the Earth’s atmosphere. In this article, James Temple, MIT Technology Review's senior editor for energy, explores the ideas surrounding Klaus Lackner’s new machine designed to remove carbon dioxide molecules from the atmosphere.
