How simulations and VR are redefining the classroom experience

Recently quoted in US News, Professor John Sterman of MIT Sloan School of Management describes the benefits of simulations in the classroom.

The climate simulation "teaches our business students skills such as improvising, negotiating and public speaking," he says. In addition, "it reinforces how their decisions can have consequences that last for decades."

Developed by Climate Interactive and MIT Sloan Sustainability Initiative, participants are assigned roles as United Nations delegates from different countries and work to negotiating a climate agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
