Baltimore Sun: Maryland support grows for climate change action

The MIT Alumni for Climate Solutions in Maryland published a letter in the Baltimore Sun last fall ("Maryland MIT alumni: The state can help prevent climate disaster“, Oct. 25, 2018) which warned about the risks of inaction on climate change. A follow-up letter was published by the newspaper today (March 10, 2019) to highlight progress in garnering political support for reducing fossil fuel use in Maryland, which includes a bill mandating increasing the renewable energy portfolio in the state to 50% by 2030.
