MIT Climate Action Plan Forum: Student Voices

    Description

    The MIT Climate Action Advisory Committee (CAAC) presented a virtual forum to explore ideas for how MIT can take its actions on climate to a higher level. This webinar originally took place on February 22, 2021 and featured presentations by MIT students on six topics related to MIT’s forthcoming new Plan for Action on Climate Change:

    • Student education and awareness
    • Engagement with the public sector
    • Engagement with the private sector
    • Investing MIT’s funds
    • MIT’s on-campus sustainability

    Jinhua Zhao named head of the Department of Urban Studies and Planning

    Jinhua Zhao has been appointed head of the Department of Urban Studies and Planning effective July 1. Zhao is the Class of 1941 Professor of Cities and Transportation and is a renowned transportation planner, educator, and scholar, and a world leader in imagining and shaping better futures for mobility.
