We could still prevent 1.5 ˚C of warming—but we almost certainly won’t

A recent study has found that there is still a chance, 64% in fact, that the human population will be able to keep global temperature increase below 1.5 ˚C. In this piece, James Temple, MIT Technology Review's senior editor for energy, cracks down on whether the changes necessary to achieve this goal are truly possible in today's world.
