How heat from the sun could help clean up steel and cement

Entrepreneur Bill Gross recently announced a new venture, Heliogen, that aims to use solar heat, as opposed to fossil fuels, to power industrial processes. In this article, James Temple, MIT Technology Review's senior editor for energy, gives a rundown of the new thermal solar technology.
