Earth Week at MIT 2019

MIT is stepping up its celebration of Earth Day this year with a full week of programming to help our community get more involved in sustainability and climate action on campus. From Tuesday, April 23, to Friday, April 26, the MIT Environmental Solutions Initiative and several of our Institute partners will host a series of activities open to MIT students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Please register to take part in these Earth Week events!

Climate Summit Simulation (Tues, April 23, 10:00am - 12:00pm)

Climate Summit Simulation is the latest workshop from Climate Interactive, which invites participants to roleplay the difficult global negotiations needed to keep warming under 2 degrees Celsius by century's end. Presented by ESI and Climate Interactive. Register today.

Breaking Through Gridlock (Tues, April 23, 2:00pm - 4:00pm)

Breaking Through Gridlock gives participants the communication tools they need to navigate hard conversations about climate change, the environment, and public policy without bruising feelings. Presented by ESI and the Sloan Sustainability Initiative. Register today.

MIT Climate Night (Thurs, April 25, 4:00pm - 7:00pm)

Join the many student and alumni groups at MIT working to build a more resilient future for a social event featuring food, networking, and a climate conversation between MIT VP for Research Maria Zuber, ESI Director John Fernandez, and Energy Initiative Director Robert Armstrong. Presented by ESI and the MIT Energy Initiative. Register today.

MIT Sustainability Summit (Fri, April 26, 8:00am - 6:00pm)

MIT's eleventh annual Sustainability Summit tackles the future of transportation and mobility with a packed day of panels and conversations. Presented by the Sloan Sustainability Initiative. Register today.
