Australia’s fires have pumped out more emissions than 100 nations combined

Massive wildfires on the eastern coast of Australia are not only an unfolding climate disaster, writes James Temple, MIT Technology Review's senior editor for energy. They're also an example of climate change fueling itself, as they emit 400 million metric tons of carbon dioxide and counting.
