Why carbon taxes may need to be far higher than we'd planned

It is generally believed that a tax on carbon should start low and increase over time. But, recent models are showing that the opposite may prove more effective. In this article, James Temple, MIT Technology Review's senior editor for energy, explains the new EZ-Climate model's determination, and what ensues from a high initial carbon price.
