As the Research Director for the Public Laboratory for Open Technology and Science, Jeffrey Warren designs mapping and civic science tools, and is the lead developer for Public Lab's software systems, including PublicLab.org, MapKnitter.org, Infragram.org as well as the DIY spectrometry toolkit Spectral Workbench.
He is VP of the board of the Open Source Hardware Association, on the board of alternative education program Parts and Crafts in Somerville MA, and an advocate of open source software, hardware, and data. Jeff holds an MS from MIT and a BA in Architecture from Yale University, and spent much of that time working with artist/technologist Natalie Jeremijenko, building robotic dogs and stuff.
