Next generation energy storage from MIT and Toyota
Faculty at MIT will be collaborating with the Toyota Research Institute (TRI) to develop a new, data-driven design of lithium-ion batteries. Collaborating with colleagues at Stanford University and Purdue University, MIT’s Martin Bazant will be using machine learning to advance the technology used in rechargeable batteries, which have various uses ranging from cell phones to hybrid cars.
